My children have grown old

My children have grown old,
I see the wrinkles of years passing by,
Wrinkles of miles of smiles
Wrinkles of fainted, forgotten cries.

My children have grown old,
And I can see the silver lining in the hair,
Silver linings of experience,
Silver linings of wisdom, almost fair!

My children have grown old,
I feel no despair,
As we have given them all – the right and the wrong,
As they have learnt it all – the right and the wrong,
Resilient I stay, watching them grow old
in the movie of life with the soundtrack of joy,
memories made of gold!
